AUSTRALIAN STATIONS
During the past week the reception in Auckland of the Australian stations has been very poor. Many listeners were puzzled at the weak signals received, and in some cases a hasty examination of sets and batteries was made. However, it is not unusual for reception from Australia to he poor on occasions, and sometimes the period of weak audibility is very prolonged. Every year it happens about this time. The reason cannot be explained, and the only thing to do is to wait until conditions improve, and in the meantime enjoy the programmes provided by the New Zealand stations.
