AUSTRALIANS’ CARNIVALS The four teams which have not yet played in the Water Polo Control Board’s competitions are to be in action next week. They will play at the Auckland Swimming Centre’s 'carnivals. at which Noel Ryan and Owen Griffiths, of Sydney, will swim. At the first carnival on Thursday’ evening next week, University will meet H.M.S. Philomel and, the following evening, at the second carnival, Devonport plays Poftsonby B. The fixtures were arranged last evening at a meeting of the board. Mr. J. Enwright. chairman, commented on the successful opening of the season and congratulated the secretray. Mr. R. M. Sheffield: on the arrangements. A trophy will be presented to the seven with. the least number of breaches recorded against it during the season.
