EXPLOSION’ AT ESSEX.—Four persons were killed and 38 were seriously injured when escaping gas be T came ignited and blew up the market hall in Weber Platz, at Essen, Germany. A blinding flash preceded the collapse of the walls. It is feared that eight of the injured people will not recover.
