NOT JACK THE RIPPER
ARRESTED WORKMAN IN MENTAL HOSPITAL
BURNED BONES NOT HUMAN Reed. H a.m. Mon. Stelzer, who was arrested on Saturday, is not connected with the ‘Ripper’ murders; but is being detained at a mental hospital. Some burned bones which were found in his fireplace were not human bones. This young workman, who lives at Metmann, a suburb of Dusseldorf, was arrested on suspicion. Various articles of feminine apparel were found in his rooms. His appearance tallied with the description of the murderer given by Frau Teurer, who narrowly escaped death at the hands of the “Ripper.”
