UNFAIR “PIN MONEY”
OTHER WOMEN DEPRIVED OF WORK
LONDON, Monday. Mr. J. H. Thomas, Lord Privy Seal and Minister in Charge of Unemployment, addressed a Brotherhood meeting at Harlesden last evening. He said it was not only uneconomic and unfair, but against the interests of the nation, for women to work for what they called “pin money” and so deprive other people of legitimate work.
Also, said the Minister, there was something morally wrong when pensioned workers who w-ere assured of a decent living deprived others of work.
