CONCESSION RISES
OBJECTIONS RECEIVED BY TRANSPORT BOARD
Protests by two local bodies against the increases in tramway concession card prices were merely received by the Auckland Transport Hoard this morning. The Mount Kden Borough Council sent an emphatic protest against the increased cost, saying it considered the rise would not improve the financial position of the board. It considered the board members s.iould resign to give the ratepayers tue opportunity of election. The objection of the One Tree Hill Road Board added that the number of passengers would probably be reduced by the higher cost.
