DOUBLE DIVORCE
TWO FAMILIES INVOLVED
DECREES NISI GRANTED From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. Two divorces arising out of the •ante set of circumstances were heard betore Mr. Justice Uerdman today at Hamilton. The petitioner in the one c.is«* was Christie Mervyn Hockley, a bushman. the respondent being Iris May Muriel Hockley. Donald Mackay, of Cambridge, being joined as corespondent. In the second case Rose Hariot Mackay sought a dissolution °f her marriage with L>onald Mackay on the grounds of his adultery with Mrs. Lock ley. The evidence showed that Mackay had admitted the paternity of Mrs. Loekley’a illegitimate child. A decree nisi was granted in each case and an order for the whole of the costs in *ach case was made against Donald Mac Kay.
A decree nisi was granted on the Petition of Thomas Nicol. a labourer, of Taumarunui, against his wife, Agnes Ann Nicol. on the ground of adultery "ith some person unknown. Alexander Robb, a former police constable ilt Taumarunui. had been joined as co-respondent, but Mr. J. F. Strang, for petitioner, asked that owing to inability to prove a case against RobbHie latter’s name be struck out from the proceedings. This was agr- ed to by the judge. As the defenc e to the present petition was withdrawn, * decree nisi was made.
