WAIKATO WINTER SHOW

NEW BUILDINGS DISCUSSED

From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. Warm tributes were paid to Messrs. W. Roth well and T. J. Mitchell for their long and faithful service since the show’s inception, at the executive meeting of the Waikato Winter Show Association today. Both were elected life members.

An offer ol’ land at £3,000 at the rear of the present show buildings, owned by Di*. A. S. .Brewis was made. Mr. J. R. Fow expressed the view that the acquisition of land at the rear was impracticable. It would he better for the association to approach the Borough CoLincil for the purchase of the horse bazaar, and to erect a fine modern building with a 'Ward Street frontage. Committees were appointed to report on the offer, also on cue whole question of new buildings.
