Sunday An Arab fired three shots, bur. clid not seriously wound Mr. Norman Beutwich, Attorney-General of Palestine, as lie was leaving liis office. Air. Beutwich had received many anonymous threatening letters. His assailant is employed in tin Public Service. He admits he was offered hundreds of pounds to shoot Mr. Bentwicli. Mr. Norman Beutwich, M.C., 0.8. K.. M.A., who was formerly in the Ministry of Justice, Cairo, is a barrister-at-law of Lincoln s Inn. He was called to the Bar in 1908. He was at one time co-editor of the “Jewish Review,” and is a writer and lecturer on Jewish and legal subjects. His works include: “The Law of Private Property in War,” “Philo-Judaeus,” "Josephus,” “Hellenism,” "The Declaration of London,” "Domicile and Succession,” and “The Practice of the Privy Council.”
