MOTOR-CYCLIST HITS TRAFFIC DOME WOMAN INJURED Severe head injuries were suffered by Mr. Reginald Richardson, aged 22, of Vauxhall Road, Devonport, as the result of being thrown from his motorcycle when it struck a traffic dome at the corner of Stanley and Gittos Streets shortly before one o’clock on Saturday afternoon. The injured man was removed to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. His condition this morning Is stated to be serious. SIDE-CAR PASSENGER INJURED Miss Edna Smith, aged 24, of 550 New North Road, Mount Albert, was admitted to the Public Hospital last evening suffering from a fracture of the right arm and shock, which she suffered as the result of a collision between a motor-car and motor-cycle and side-car at Clevedon. Miss Smith was returning from Kawakawa Bay in the side-car when the motor-cycle collided with a motorcar, said to have been driven by Mr. J. Paton, of Clevedpn, which was turning into the Great South Road. The injured woman was conveyed to the hospital by the ambulance. Her condition this morning is reported to be satisfactory. The motor-cyclist escaped with minor injuries, but the machine was considerably damaged. A collision between his motbr-cycle and a motor van at the corner of Tui and Kiwi Roads, Point Chevalier, while on his way to work early on Saturday morning resulted in Mr. Alfred Leslie, of 59 Meola, Road, 'Point Chevalier, receiving a fracture of his left ankle. The accident occurred about seven o’clock, when Mr. Leslie was riding along Tui Road toward the Great North Road. He was thrown from his machine and run over by two wheels of the van, said to have been driven by Mr. Edward Harrison, of 288 Gre\t North Road. He was taken to the hospital and after treatment allowed to go home.
