CANDIDATE WITHDRAWS
HUTT BY-ELECTION FIELD MR. H. D. BENNETT RETIRES Press Association WELLINGTON. Sunday. Mr. 11. D. Bennett. Independant candidate for the Hntt by-election, who is on a week-end visit to Wanganui, announced today that he would retire from the contest. The three candidates left in the field are:—Messrs. James Kerr (Government). Harold F. Johnston (Reform), and Walter Nash (Labour).
