MAN FOUND DEAD

WANDERED AWAY FROM HOSPITAL SUGGESTION OF POISON Following his abrupt disappearance from the Auckland Hospital on Saturday evening, Archibald Claude Moore was found dead in the Domain early Sunday afternoon. A bottle, presumably containing poison, was by his side. An inquest was opened before Mr. P. K. Hunt, S.M., this morning, when William Oscar Moore, a brother of deceased, identified the body. He said that the man was a tailor, aged 44. He was separated from his wife. There were two children. For the past, month he had been in the hospital suffering from a nervous breakdown.

It is understood that the body w r as found by a passer-by at the Grafton Gully end of the Domain, opposite Blandford Park, at 2.45 p.m. Letters were discovered expressing Mr. Moore’s intention to commit suicide. The inquest was adjourned.
