ARBITRATION FIELD
N.S.W. MEASURE TO REMOVE RURAL WORKERS BITTER LABOUR OPPOSITION SYDNEY, Saturday. A measure to remove rural workers from the State arbitration field was introduced in the Assembly amid bitter Labour opposition. The Premier. Mr. T. R. Bavin, declared that it would enable thousands of men to obtain employment. The Hon. H. V. C. Thorby, Minister of Agriculture, pointed out that the aggregate production in Ihe rural industries in the last seven years had declined from £32,000,000 to £ 1 1", 000,000, and over 7,000 rural producers had disappeared from the industries.
