WRECKED ON BRIDGE

MOTOR SMASH HOLDS ALL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT NEAR WHANGAREI From Our Own Correspondent WHANGAREI, Today. On Saturday afternoon a motor-car was wrecked on the bridge on the Waipu Road. The car was extensively damaged, and the chassis twisted. The accident was caused by loose metal causing a skid. As the car entered the bridge, it struck the right handrail. The rear swung round and crashed into a 6ft handrail, blocking all traffic. Mr. Miller, the driver, who received a deep cut on the head, and Mr. Briscoe, a passenger, escaped unhurt.
