FIRST SWIMMING CARNIVAL
ATTEMPT ON RECORD Untrios for tlio first swimming carnival for 11 10 season, lo bo held by i onsonby and University Clubs in the Tepid Baths next Wednesday evening, close on Monday morning'. One of the principal events will be the attempt bv Gordon Bridson, of Grammar Club, national distance champion in two events, on llio 440yds Xew Zealand record. There will bo a 50yds event for University members and a similar race tor Ponsonby swimmers, a first-class handicap over 100 yards, an inter-club relay and a waterpolo game between University and 11.M.8.
