ORGANISED OUTLETS NEED About 1,000 rabbit-keepers are believed to be operating in New Zealand under permits now. The numbers are strongest in the Auckland Province. A meeting of rabbit-keepers will be held next Friday afternoon in the Empire Building, Swanson Street, with the intention of forming the Auckland Fur Club to encourage pelt and wool production and marketing. Organised outlets are the greatest need of the industry and it is proposed to set up a responsible body to guard the commercial aspect. A Danish handspinning wheel, which is likely to figure in the Angora industry until the wool output warrants a special power mill, will probably be exhibited.
