STORM IN QUEENSLAND
CHURCH AND HOTEL BOTH WRECKED LIGHTNING HITS BUILDING Reed. 10 a.m. BRISBANE, Today. Cyclonic storms, accompanied by heavy rain, caused considerable damage in parts of southern Queensland. Buildings were unroofed, fences were levelled, and telephone services were disrupted. A building at Brisbane was struck by lightning, and the coping was cracked in three places. Tn the town of Red Hill, a large hotel was wrecked, and the Presbyterian Church was levelled to the ground.
