EPSOM SHOWS “MARRIED LOVE”

"Modern Love,” the production which opens at the Regent Theatre, Epsom, today, is based on a story of modern marriage. Beatrice Van, the young author of this story, has lived in the ' motionpicture colony for many years, and her idea in writing “Modern Love” is said to have originated from her observation of many young married people in the film colony who are struggling with the problem of so-called “fiftyfifty” marriages. This is Charley Chase’s first feature comedy. Ere is perfect as the harassed bridegroom. Jean Hersholt also has an important role in the production. One of the best features of the picture is that its humour depends upon the funny situations rather than up manufactured gags.
