AMBULANCE TESTS
JONES SHIELD COMPETITION The competition for the K. Jones Ambulance Shield. presented some years ago by Arr. Ernest Jones. of Karangahape Road. for competition within the Auckland Corps, was h: 1 in the Holy Sepulchre Parish Hall on Wednesday evening. Six teams, each of a squad of four, competed, and after a keen contest the shield was won by the C team from the Nati 1 • sion with a total of 1325 points out o the possible of 150. The members of the winning team were:—Privates T K. Stewart, C- Morgan. H. Duck and W. Dean. The I ; ’ R - end. with 131 points: R, Onehung * 295), third i Division CI22J). fourth: K. Nation, 1 ! Reserve fll9:>. fifth: and A. Aucklan-i ; Division (110). sixth. The competition consiste«l of thix j tests, a stretcher test for a squad * f | four, treating a complicated fracturi of the leg with severe haemorrhage of j the big artery, and individual test> * I triangular and roller bandaging. Cawkwe!!-Aftc-r tlic judges had commented on ■ th© several tests and complimented th ; competitors on the high standard of i work exhibited. Corps Superintendent F. E. Scholficld explained the sacrifice made by the judges in giving up a lorur : evening to the contest, and called . *r i a hearty vote of thanks to them by 1 acclamation. Corps Officers <’. AA".
