DAMAGE TO ENGINE The Otahuhu Fire Brigade received a call at 12.30 a.m. to a motor-truck on fire at the corner of Water Street and Avenue Road. Otahuhu, owned by Mr. Robert McCormick, of Lincoln Street, Ponsonby. When the truck was started it backfired and burst into flames. The outbreak was extinguished with a chemical extinguisher.
