POSTPONEMENT OF MATCHES CRITICISM AT MEETING ) Some adverse comment on the postponement of al cricket matches on the Domain last Saturday was voiced at last night’s meeting of the manage- | ment committee of the Auckland | Suburban Cricket Association. A club delegate said that at. two o’clock the wickets were in good order. The chairman explained that the Parks Committee of the City Council definitely declined to allow any matches to be played and no action could be taken. It was decided to start the same series of matches as were postponed next Saturday, and to play two days, as usual. A request for a visit to Thames from a representative team later in the seuson was received from the ThamesUauraki Association. It was referred i To the match committee for favourable ! consideration. The Pukeltohe Association lodged a ' challenge for the Pratt Cup. for competition among minor associations.
