COLLISION WITH TRAIN

MOTOR-CYCLIST SEVERELY INJURED QUAY STREET ACCIDENT A collision between his motor-cycle and a train in Quay Street at about 10.30 last evening resulted in Mr. B. Duncan, of 21 Takutai Street, Parnell, suffering severe injuries to his head. A rake of 20 trucks was being shunted across the street near the inward goods shed, when Mr. Duncan’s machine struck one of the trucks head on. He was thrown heavily to the ground. The injured man. who is the son of Dr. J. D. C. Duncan, of Rotorua, was removed to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. His condition this morning is stated to be serious. The motor-cycle was completely wrecked.
