INCREASE IN IMPORT VALUES Press Association D L’NEDIX, Monday. The council of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce this evening passed the following resolution, bearing on the primage duty: ‘ "That owing to the large increase in i the value of imports (as stated in the ' Abstract of Statistics, October 26) and the automatic increase in revenue from customs duty thereon, this chamber is of opinion that the further collection of he additional 1 per cent, primage duty is not now necessary, and urges the Government to remove the chars'-, i at the earliest possible moment.'’
