STATE CABINET BASIC WAGE FORMULA Rccd. 9.55 a.m. SYDNEY’, Today. lt is now considered certain that the State Cabinet will retain the child endowment scheme, but will draft a formula. 10 provide for a basic wage for a man and wife without children, at about. £4 weekly. Tiie endowment fund will not be made a direct charge on industry, as at present, hut the fund may be built up by weekly contributions from the employers and the employees, and a subsidy from the Government.
