PERSONAL.—Captain C. Elders resumed command of the Waipiata recently, relieving Captain J. G. ‘Watson, who has transferred to the command of the Kaikorai. Captain A. S. Chatfield is now in command of the Kawatiri, vice captain F. L. Jaunay, who has transferred to command of tlm Waitemata, relieving Captain G. B. Morgan for instructions. Captain H. S. The New Zealand Shipping Company has been notified by cable that its liner Ruahine left Panama on Wednesday for Wellington and Southern ports, en route from London and Southampton. The Coptic left the wharf at Melbourne at 6 a.m. on October 2, and was berthed at Dunkirk at 5 p.m. on November 2. CORNWALL LEAVES PANAMA.— Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Federal steamer Cornwall arrived at Panama on Monday from Liverpool, and sailed again on Tuesday for Auckland and other New Zealand ports. She is now expected to arrive at Auckland on December 2. DALVEEN REPORTS. —According to a radio message received by A. S. Paterson and Company, the steamer Dalveen is due at Auckland at 6 a.m. on Wednesday from Galveston, Texas. The vessel is bringing a cargo *“of sulphur for discharge at Auckland. New Plymouth and Australian ports. She has been allotted a berth at the King’s Wharf. MAH IA REPORTS. —According to a radio message received by L. 1). Nathan and Company, the Shaw, SaviU and Albion Company’s steamer Mahia is expected to arrive at Auckland tomorrow afternoon from London. She will anchor off Motuihi Island to unload 430 tons of explosives before coming into port to discharge general merchandise. She has I cargo also for discharge at Wellington | and Napier. KENT'S LOADING PORTS. — Due at Auckland 3 p.m. tomorrow, from Livererpool, the Federal steamer Kent will berth at the Queen’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. Later she proceeds to Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers to complete discharge, after which she loads at Port Chalmers. Bluff, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington for England. RANGITIKI TO LOAD. —Advice received by the local office of the New ZeaI land Shipping Company states the motorship Rangitiki leaves Lyttelton at 5 p.m. } tomorrow for Auckland, where she is due on Friday to continue her loading. From this port the vessel proceeds to Napier, thence Wellington to fill up and is scheduled to clear the latter port finally on December 7 for Southampton and London, via Panama. RUAPEHU LOADING. —The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Ruapehu arrived at Auckland yesterday from New Plymouth, and berthed at the Queen’s Wharf to continue her loading. It is hoped to dispatch the vessel on Wednesday for Napier, Wellington. Lvttelton and Port Chalmers to fill up. She is scheduled to sail finally from the Otago port on November 30 for Southampton and West Coast ports of England, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. BRUNSWICK WITH MOTOR SPIRIT.
