PROGRAMMES AT TOWN MALI AND ZOO A programme of music by the Mur cipal Band at the Zoological Bt’. yesterday afternoon attracted a lari attendance of the public. The Etc bers included marches, a waits sele tion, hymns and overtures. Partici larl.v enjoyable were selections fro- “ The Bohemian Girl,” by Balfe, 21“Tbe Desert Song” by Romberg. The programme given at the Tow Hall in the evening comprised tfc hymn "Creation s Hymn,” by Beetoven. “Yimy Ridge” by Bidgwot*“The Caliph of Bagdad” by Boielcfc* and a selection from “II Trovatore” t Verdi. A cornet solo by Mr. J. Da s ;- and a piccolo solo by Mr. Hal C. M Jit-nnan were warmly applauded. ORGAN RECITAL In the Town Hall yesterday afit: noon a very enjoyable organ reckt was given by Mr. Maughan Barer* city organist. There was a fair a* tendance. The programme, which h eluded works by Handel. Bach, Boe mann. Chopin. Mendelssohn, Nevin ar Corelli, was of a varied and eut- 1 ' taining nature and was wannreceived.
