The alarm boxes will be: ' placed at all important intersections, I ' on the various bridges and at all the j ! gates to the city, and at different ] | points in each city ward. The alarms ! will function in the same way as the ; Paris tire alarms, to which the public j is already accustomed. In order to discourage false alarms ’ ; there will be a heavy fine for those | who use the sigua without cause. To turn in ar» alarm one breaks a glass j and turns a handle.
