W. Fleming, per K. Currie, wrote asking the council to require J. O’Donnell to’ remove certain buildings from a situation known as the Otahu Road. Inter ; alia the letter stated: —“I am not ask- ] ing for any special favours. I am 1 only asking for justice, and if the ; council refuses to do anything further ; in the matter I will be compelled to get justice elsewhere.” On the motion of Crs. Fullerton-Smith and Caird it was resolved to inform Mr. Fleming that it would be no advantage to either of them to,compel Air. O’Donnell to remove the buildings complained of. while it would be a decided hardship on Mr. O’Donnell.
