PIGS IN OTAHUHU

COUNCIL TO DRAFT BY-LAW Lengthy discussion took place at last evening's meeting of the Otahuhn Borough Council concerning an application for permission to keep pigs within the borough. The chairman of the works committee reported that, as his committee was unable to come to a decision on the question, it referred it to the council without any recommendation. It was agreed to grant the permit, and on the recommendation of Mr. Petrie, the legal committee was instructed to draft a by-law prohibiting the keeping of pigs within the borough.
