DASH ACROSS ROADWAY INTO STONE FENCE SEVEN-FEET DROP TO LAWN A motor-car which had been left parked in the drive of a house in Owen’s Road, Epsom, early last evening, travelled backward through the gateway, straight across the road, crashed through a parapet and dropped seven feet on to a lawn. The car landed on its four wheels tore away across the grass, and then bounced across the lawn into a stake boundary fence. It smashed down about four feet of the fence and came to rest among the debris. The car, which was driven by Mr. T. Impey, a visitor to the house of Mr. J. Mairs, of 71 Owen’s Road, had been left standing in the drive. Some time later a telephone message stated that the car was in the property of Mr. F. Webster, of 60 Owen’s Road. Comparatively slight damage was done to tlie car, which was of a medium-sized saloon type.
