RICHMOND CLUB’S EVENT ENTRIES AND HANDICAPS The general handicap race for centreboard yachts which was postponed last week will be held tomorrow by the Richmond Cruising Club. Should the wind be off the land the destination will be Brown’s Bay, but in the event of the wind being “in” the boats will race to Islington Bay. ; The start will be on the three-flag system at three o’clock from Ponsonby Wharf. A white flag will indicate Brown’s Bay and a red flag Islington Bay, The course will be direct to the destination, observing only the Sandspit Beacon. Following are the entries and handicaps, the Islington Bay handicaps being mentioned first: Marere, scr, scr; Why Not, scr, 2m: Otira, scr, 4m; Mowai, Utn, 4m; Matariki, 10m, 7m ; Lornu. 10m, 8m: Waiapu, 15m, 7m; Wild ! Wave, Lesdemona, 14m, 8m; June, ' 15m, 9m; Leveret, Scud, Sun, 20m 10m; ! Waitui, 30m, 15m. The finishing line at Islington Bay j will be between the quarry wharf and j a mark-boat, and at Brown’s Bay be- ; tween the wharf and the north-east point of the bay. Mr. 1. Dennis will act as starter and Mr. T. L. Thompson as judge. If sufficient inducement offers a. harbour race for 14-footers will also be held.
