PNEUMONIA VICTIM
CANADA’S FINANCE MINISTER DEAD TORONTO. Monday. The death occurred today of Mr. J. A. Robb, Canadian Minister of Finance, aged 70. For several weeks he had been suffering from pneumonia. The late Mr. James Alexander Robb was born at Huntingdon, Quebec, in August, 1559, of Scottish parents. He was educated at the Huntingdon Academy, and was a flour miller by trade. He had beeu a member of the Canadian Parliament since 190 S. Mr. Robb was Minister of Trade and Commerce, 1921-23; Minister of Immigration, and Acting-Minister of Finance. 1923-25; and Minister of Finance since 1926. He was twice married, his first wife having died in 1902.
