SUCCESSOR TO LORD STONEHAVEN LABOUR PARTY SUGGESTION Reed. noon. SYDNEY, Today. It has been announced at the Australian Labour Party offices that a motion xvould be submitted at a meeting of the Federal Parliamentary Labour Party at Canberra today for the appointment of an Australian to the position of Governor-General in succession to Lord Stonehaven. Members supporting the proposal consider the Chief Justice, Sir Adrian Knox, should be invited to accept the position.
