TAUMARUNUI BROADCAST
IN AID OF HOSPITAL SET In furtherance of its ambitious programme to provide wireless installation at the local hospital that will give individual facilities to every patient, the Taumarunui Hospital Radio Committee is arranging with the Radio Broadcasting Company to have a programme broadcast from the town early in December. The date so far decided on is December IS, but this will be subject to possible alteration. Messrs. J. Ball and A. R. Harris, representing the company, have visited the town and conferred with the executive, consisting of Dr. K. Vivian and Messrs. D. H. Nicholson. J. Lawrence. S. Mansou. A. S. Laird. J. A. Arthur, R. \V. Beresford and D. H. Hail. The programme to be sent over the air will comprise details of the social, industrial and scenic attractions of the town and nearby district. The broadcast will be subject to the broadcasting company being able to make suitable arrangements with the Post and Telegraph Department for a land line.
