LORD CARRINGTON DEAD
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE IN AFRICAN WARS Kecd. 10 a.m. LONDON, Monday. The death has occurred of Lord Carrington, aged 77. Rupert Clement George Carrington, fourth Baron Carrington, of Ireland and Great Britain, succeeded his brother, the Marquess of Lincolnshire, in 1925. He was at Eton, and entered the Grenadier Guards in 1871. He served in the Zulu War in 1S7!», and commanded the New South Wales imperial Bushmen in South Africa, 1901-2, being decorated and mentioned in dispatches. He sat in the House of Commons as a. Liberal representing Buckinghamshire from ISSO to ISSS. Lord Carrington married in IS9I a daughter of Mr. John S. Horsfall of New South Wales. She died in 190 S. The heir to the barony is the Hon. Robert Victor John Carrington, who is 3S years of age. He married in 1916 the Hon. Sybil Marion, daughter of the second Viscount Colville.
