FORD'S BIG SALES HELP OTHERS Starting from a monthly production of 7,668 vehicles in January, 1928, the Ford plants in the U.S.A. climbed to a monthly output of 132,078 within a year, and Hit the high mark of 190,903 in M ay ,11929. Ford production for the whole of j 1928 totalled 797,140 vehicles, and In i the first six months of 1929 the output was 1,020,285.. 11l tile sameperiods, total American output was 4,355,759 and 3,223,090. An analysis of actual registrations i in the United States shows that Ford .sales in the first six months of 192 S ] amounted to 114,436, and all other j manufacturers sold 1,425,595. For the same period of this year, all other j manufacturers were slightly better, | with 1,471,556 sales, while Ford had increased to 683,620, an average of 32.09 per cent, of total sales. The outstanding -feature is that, though Ford sales and production have increased enormously, all other makers have also grown in volume, so - that the “war” has resulted in greater buying of all cars.
