HUGE HOT-MIX PLANT.—Claimed to be the largest in New Zealand or Australia, this plant has been erected in the Waimate County to provide paving for nearly 15 miles of highway. It mechanically converts the coarse beach pebbles into bituminous concrete, and has an output of 2,000 square yards of hot-mix a day.
