CECIL HALL PUPILS’ RECITAL
On Saturday next a programme of dances, bullets, songs and sketches will bo presented in the concert chamber, Town Hall, afternoon and evening. by Miss Cecil Hall. About TO junior pupils, ranging from 3 to 13 years, will take part. The costuming is beautiful, and a big attraction will be the dance-play adapted from the famous ballet, "Coppelia,” probably the first time performed anywhere by so young artists. Another novelty will be that the whole iferformance is produced to synchronised music. Howies. Limited. making all arrangements for this. All, proceeds are in aid of the Fonsonby Girl Guides. The solid silver Paramount Week "fehield, which is competed for every year by exhibitors throughout New Zealand and Australia, is now held by a theatre manager in Fremantle, Western Australia. The shield is presented each year to the exhibitor or theatre-owner who carries out the most original and effective advertising and exploitation campaign for Paramount week. Paramount, week, 1939. is the ninth annual motion picture celebration of its kind to be held in New Zealand.
