SHORT TOUR BY Rlol
MAYOR AND COUNCILLORS ABOARD British Official Wireless Reed. 11 a.m. RUGBY, Friday. The airship RlOl this afternoon left the mooring-mast at Cardington, which is just outside Bedford, and made a short tour of the neighbouring country. She had on board the Mayor of Bedford and other members of the Municipal Council. As 159 members of the House of Commons had applied for the 80 vacant places on board the airship RlOl on her first Parliamentary flight on November 16, a ballot was taken yesterday. Three women members — Viscountess Astor, Dr. Ethel Bentham and Dr. Marion Phillips—were among those who were successful in the ballot.
