DUTCH STEAMERS AFIRE
WOOL AND COAL CARGOES GET ALIGHT NO SERIOUS DAMAGE Reed. 10 a.m. CAPETOWN, Thurs. The Dutch,, cargo-steamer Sumatra returned to the docks after a night at sea, with a cargo of wool on fire. Fire-engines waited for her arrival, and the cargo was unloaded. The covering of the propeller shaft was scorched. Reed. 9.5 a.m. ADEN, Thursday.
The Dutch steamer Abbekerk, en route .from Hamburg and Antwerp to Brisbane, arrived with No. 5 hold afire. The fire was extinguished by discharging the coal in the lower hold.
