SUSPECTED OF SHIELDING TSARISTS SENSATION AT LENINGRAD MOSCOW, Wednesday. A sensation has been caused by the dismissal of Professor Sergei Oldenburg, who for a quarter of a century has been secreary to the Leningrad Academy of Sciences. The professor is accused of having concealed documents, one of wliich revealed the personal activities of the late Tsar’s secret police. Others contained the Tsar’s decree of abdication and the Grand Duke Michael’s renunciation of his rights to the throne. The two last-named documents were believed to have been lost. It is assumed that Professor Oldenburg is suspected of having tried to shield Tsarists.
