The Prime Minister'll residence in Ttnakori Road. Wellington, is not to be sold.
Asked a question on the subject by Mr. W. Downie Stewart (Dunedin West), the Acting-Leader of the House of Representatives, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, said it had been made quite clear that the House was of opinion the property should not be disposed of. Negotiations had been cancelled, and Mr. Forbes assured the House that the property would not be sold.
There was a loud chorus of "Hear, Hears” from the Reform seats, and subdued applause.
