NO HORSES TO SHOE
SERVICE STATION WHERE SMITHY STOOD BEAUTIFYING ELLERSLIE Where a blacksmith once plied his industrious trade at the corner of Great South Road and Panmure Road, an artistic and thoroughly modern service station is now being built to serve the changing needs of a later generation. A permit for its erection was granted last evening by the Ellerslie Town Board. The change from rural to suburban ruined 4:he business of this blacksmith, as with many others, and for some time the iron building at the crossroads stood deserted. The service station, which is expected to cost £2,320, will be built from plans drawn up by Mr. R. A. Lippincott.
