MAORI PENSIONS
Regret was. expressed by members of tli# Akarana Maori Association last evening at the absence of action by the Government before the end of the session in removing anomalies existing in old-age pensions payments to Maoris and Europeans. The association has received legal advice that Maori applicants, under the present Pensions Act, are entitled to receive pensions on the same scale as Europeans.
