AUCKLAND ACCIDENTS

MAN STRUCK BY TIMBER As the result of timber striking his right foot while loading a lorry at the Queen’s Wharf this morning, Mr. H. Russel, aged 29, of 35 Kingswav Avenue, Edendale, received a broken big toe. He was removed to the hospital by the St. John Ambulance. Injuries to the spine and minor bruises were suffered by Tempeston Burgess, aged 16, of Papakura, as the result of slipping on the concrete floor while working for the New Zealand Milk Products, Ltd., this morning. He was conveyed to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance and later removed to his home.
