INDOOR BOWLING
VISIT TO BIRKENHEAD On Monday evening last, four rinks 'roro the Orange Bowling Association mrneyed to Birkenhead to pay their innual return visit. They were welded on arrival by Chief Ranger Bvo. p Adana, who expressed the pleasure in* court felt in these visits. He hoped whatever the result that they would have some enjoyable games. Replying for the. visitors, Bro. Hari3 congratulated Court Birkenhead on •s splendid record, both as a matchwinning community and as a lodge of veal good sports. He jokingly sugeated that the Orange ladies were ne only ones capable of extending their hosts, and once again the words spoken iii jest came true. The Auckland Friendly Societies Indoor Bowling Association will conclude ita activities this season on Saturday night next with a progressive fours evening. All members, friends and any interested are cordially welcome. The members will provide all the bowls and mats required. Intending players should have their names in by 7.45. During the evening the trophies won during the season, which are now on view in Messrs. Frank Wiseman’s window in Queen Street will be presented.
