WESTFIELD STOCK SALE WESTFIELD, 2.30 p.m. Beef met with a slightly erratic market at Westfield today. Values at times tended to ease on late quotations, but, generally, prices showed little quotable change on lata rates. Best ox made up to 43s a hundred; best cow and heifer to 40e a hundred. An offering of approximately 250 fat steers was made up mostly of handy"■eight cattle; there were no exceptionally heavy prime big-framed cattle forward. Handy-weight cattle made a greater proportionate price on a weight tfasia than heavy prime sorts. Graziers trom all parts of the province contrived, lines of Waikato cattle, as usual, making up a big percentage of the Bering. Top price of the day was secured for 1 line of 22 heavy prime bullocks on count of B. Reed, Waerenga, which made from £ls 10s to £l7 7s Cd for an exceptionally heavy prime beast *nich went to Cooper and Parkes, Parnell. . Twenty-two exceptionally wellrushed light to medium-framed steers n account of Wills McLaughlin. Papal°etoe, made from £l2 5s to £ls 15s.
