AUSTRALIANS CONFIDENT OF VICTORY Reed. 11.20 a.m. LONDON, Monday. The manager of the Australian League team, Mi-. Sunderland, who was knocked down by a motor-car at Oldham, is progressing satisfactorily. His head injuries are not serious, but the doctors advised his detention in hospital for a few days, to enable a better recovery to be made. Gorman and Armbruster stayed overnight with Mr. Sunderland on Saturday, and Dargan visited him today. Australia's second test team is the same as beat Oldham, with O. Dempsey, Root. Brogan and Laws as reserves. The team is fit, apart from Weissel’s and Prigg’s slight leg injuries. All are optimistic.
