CHURCH OF CHRIST
50TH AUCKLAND ANNIVERSARY The 50th anniversary of the Church of Christ in Auckland was celebrated by a reunion in the Ponsonby Road Church of Christ on Saturday afternoon when the Rev. F. W. Greenwood, originator of the function, .presided over an attendance of more than 100. Some members of the church who had been present at tho first meetinghouse, which is still standing in Cook Street, were among those present and many interesting reminiscences were heard. Reference to the work of some of the founders of the church was made and a wreath was placed at the foot of the roll of late members. An interesting feature of the reunion was a quartet sung by members of a choir of 38 years ago. A public meeting in the evening was largely attended. Mr. E. Vickery gave a sketch of the history of the church and Mr. E. A. Perkins gave humorous incidents connected with the church in the early days. A musical programme was nlso given.
