1930 BAND CONTEST

MANY ENTRIES RECEIVED Press Association DUNEDIN, Monday. Excellent entries in all grades have been received for the Dominion band contest, to be held in Dunedin from February 22 to March 1, 1930. Mr. C. Smith, of Auckland, has been appointed judge of selections and quicksteps, and Mr. A. Schnack, of Christchurch, judge of the solos. The solos and selections will be* held in the new town hall, and quickstep and pipe-band contest on the Carisbrook ground. The committee has arrangements well forward.
